Appropriate clothing for teachers. 2008/5/24 02:11
I will be teaching english to children in Japan and I'm just curious about what the general dress code would be like. What is exceptable, and what isn't??

Thanks.

Depends on the school company you work for and their specific codes. But if you want a "generic/general" answer, business-casual is generally the safe bet to go with.

Collared shirt YES
Hawaiian T-shirt NO

Slacks YES
Jeans NO

But again thats generically speaking.
