Economy double? Sunroute Plaza 2008/5/25 12:35
Hi

I am looking at staying at Sunroute Plaza Hotel in Shinjku for a few nights. I noticed they have rooms called "Economy Double" I am concerned about the size of the bed, as it must be large enough to sleep two people. Is it smaller than a usual double bed, and has anyone stayed in them?

thanks

"Economy Double" seems to be a phrase used by some hotel booking agencies - I cannot find room type by that same description on the hotel's own website. But judging from this description -

....if what you call "economy double" is the "economy room with double bed" in this description, the room seems to be 15.80 square meters, which means it is basically a single-sized room, with a 160cm-wide bed put in. So it will be quite tight, and might even be suitable for "single" travelers who want a somewhat bigger bed :(

Yes, it is different tha US double bed. A little smaller but okay as long as the 2 people are not both big. I am 6'3" kind of "thick." I had no problem with me & GF in economy double. (she is small frame)
