Hi, on August I'm going to visit Japan I'll meet my old friend that I don't see for 14 years. Now he is married and he has a daughter (she is 6/ years old). Which kind of gift can I bring them? Thanks for your help

I do not know where you are from, but you could bring your friend and his wife wine or beer from your country, if they like to drink. If they have any favourite food for you your country, you could bring them some. You could give the 6 year-old daughter something that is useful for her school/kinderganden like cute stationaries etc. if you know something that you can't probably find in Japan. It depends, what she is interested in, I guess.
If you don't mind asking them what they want from your country, go ahead! They could say that you don't need to bring them anything as a polite way of saying, but if they have something in mind, they would tell you that.

Hi, thanks for your help. I live in Italy so I think that for him wine would be OK but I'm not sure about the wife.
