Humidity and Hair

I dont know where exactly I should put this question, but here it goes.
Okay, im going to Tokyo this summer (yeah!), but i have one major problem: humidity. I know its crazy out there in June w/ the humidity. I'm black and i have thick hair that gets really poofy when it's humid. Anyone know any products that could help with that? It would be highly appreciated ^^

I've been to Tokyo a few times(and in the summer) and the second I step out of the airport my hair blows up.
Well... I couldn't really do anything about it, but I tried brushing it and using oils (such as smooth n shine).

I'm not sure what style your hair is in, but it may be good to bring a straightner or something of that sort.
