Hi, I'm from Egypt,I've been interested in Japan for a vey long time and I love almost everything Japanese, from culture through anime till history and religion,I now want to go to Japan and find a job,I've been trying to find one over the net as an English instructor, but no company paid attention,I speak English at a native level, but it seems they only want westerners,so can I find a job as an English instructor (or even any other kind of job?) thx

Are you a native English speaker, or are you saying you are not a native English, but speak at a native level?
This may be important to potential employers, because they may want no trace of non-native accent.

thanks Sandy for answering, no, I'm not a native speaker, but I speak at a native (or almost native) level with an American accent.

interac will employ you through their subsiduaries - maxceed or selnate.
www.interac.co.jp
they pay you less than a non-native speaker but there isn't a whole lot in it and a visa is a visa.
although they will give you an instructor visa which isn't as good as a specialist in humanities visa. this just makes it harder to find a job if you quit.

Gaba is another company that hires proficient non-native speakers.
I also have a Pakistani friend working as an ALT- he doesn't have any of the usual native accents- he definitely sounds like a Pakistani but he got a job.
It is relatively hard to find a job from outside Japan as most companies want to interview you in person before they hire you- this is probably your main stumbling block.
