Do you have a brother or sister? 2008/6/16 18:30
Can someone tell me what the following sentences are in Japanese please?

Do you have a brother or sister?

Could you repeat that please?

Also, I attempted to translate the following but I'm unsure about them:

(The scenario is shopping in tokyo)

A kilo of tomatoes: ichi kiro wa tomato o kudasai.

A melon: meron o kudasai.

4 bananas: yon banana o kudasai.

Thanks for any replies. Doomo.

Hi!!

Do you have a brother or sister?
kyoudai ka simai wa imasuka?
or you can say more simpuly
kyoudai ha imasuka?
(the word "kyoudai" sometimes means not only brother(s) but also including sister(s). it's very obuscury, so they may confirm whether you mean only brother or including sister )

Could you repeat that please?
mou ichido itte kudasai.

A kilo of tomatoes: tomato wo idhi kiro kudasai.

A melon: meron wo (hitotsu) kudasai.
hitotsu means "one".

4 bananas: banana o yon hon kudasai.

Enjoy Japanese!!

Sorry! I mistyped!

A kilo of tomatoes: tomato wo idhi kiro kudasai.

X idhi
O ichi

correct line is...

Tomato o(wo) ichi kiro kudasai.

wo = を
