House at 61 Bluff, Yokohama still exist? 2008/6/22 05:57
Would like to know if the house at 61 Bluff, Yokohama still exists. My Grandfather lived there in 1920-21. He was working for Goodyear Rubber in Akron Ohio and was sent there to assist a Japanese company in producing rubber products.

Sandra, I personally do not have an answer to your specific question. However If you are interested generally in that area you might check out " The Navy Exchange was where ?" in this Japan Guide.com site. It is very extensive dialog between people who have lived in the general area of the city. I would hope that a well informed lady, Uco , whos advice id flawless, could help you with your inquiry, good luck.

I'm sorry, but you might notice from the The Navy Exchange Was Where thread that I'm not at all familiar with old American military addresses. But if someone can point out how it translates to the current address, I might be able to spot what's there today since I live not too far from that area. But I'm sure there are people in the other thread who are better informed.
