Tokyo - Hakata about six hours depending on if you are on a JR pass ( no access to Nozomi and one change of train ) or paying for your ticket then a Nozomi all the way. Shinkansens start around 0600 and all terminate prior to midnight. Commuter trains run from about 0500 with last trains leaving terminals around midnight.
