Noh/Bunraki in August 2008/7/20 01:22
We will be in Tokyo August 7-11 and August 21-25 and in Kyoto August 14-17. We would like to see a Noh and/or Bunraki theatre performance. The National Theatre of Japan has Noh performances during this period, which are described as "dissemination performances". We have understood that these are for children. Is that correct? Is it worth seeing them anyway? If not, where else can we watch a Noh performance?
And what about Bunraki, is it possible to see this form of theatre in Tokyo or Kyoto (no shows scheduled at the National Theatre at least)?

Thank you, YR!
To all those who can read Japanese and can spare a moment: could you have a quick look at this performance schedule http://www.the-noh.com/en/schedule/index.html and tell us if there is something on in Tokyo/Kyoto on the dates mentioned above? Thanks!
