a hamster breeder in tokyo...?

hi. ive been wanting a hamster (campbell dwarf hamster) and i was wondering if anybody either knows or is a breeder,because i'm not too fond of buying animals from pet stores. a baby would be good and i need 2 because they don't really like to be alone. and it would be amazing if i could get 2 of the same sex! thx!

As far as I could search from the internet, hamster breeders in Japan don't really seem to be as widespread as dog and cat breeders. Pet shops seem to rely on wholesalers who mostly import from breeders overseas (cost/pricing consideration).

Of course there would be hamster lovers who might end up with a litter here and there, so asking at a vet near your home (if there is one) for
information on someone in the area might lead you somewhere. Good luck!
