Is being a psychologists in Japan a profitable and financially stable job? Because I plan to study and work there too but I'm not sure if psychologists are in demand and profitable in Japan as much as in countries like USA.

I've heard Japanese prefer Japanese psychologists because they understand the Japanese mind.

More than the mind, I suppose you need to be fluent in the language of your patient to be able to listen to his/her stories and worries in detail. Otherwise you can aim for the expats that speak your language, which has a way fewer population compared to the locals. But there are indeed foreign psychologists working in Japan. I wonder if any of them are willing to answer this question.
