Can i write Japanese words in hiragana 2008/8/3 07:24
Is it alright for me to write all the Japanese words i know in hiragana

It will make it more difficult to read as Japanese has so many homonyms, but if you supply enough context it will be readable, especially if you introduce spaces between the hiragana words (spaces are normally not used in Japanese)
Still it would be recommended to use the kanji you know.

Technically you can write the whole language in hiragana. When I started learning Japanese most of the items I wrote were in all hiragana/katakana you start to gradually learn Kanji and start replacing hiragana words with the kanji you know.

what are you writing? 2008/12/2 18:25
What are you wanting to write? If it an email for example, it can be a bit tricky to read Japanese written entirely in hiragana, so as you learn kanji it is better to start using them. Until then, writing all in hiragana is the only thing you can do, right?
