Sapporo bus pass and Jozankei buses

In early October, we will be in Sapporo. I have already planned most of our trip, but I have a few weird little questions I still need/want answers for. Here is one of them:

We will be going from Sapporo to Jozankei on Jotetsu Bus. There is a Sapporo One Day Pass for buses and subways that also includes Jotetsu buses ( for 1000Y). Can the One Day Pass be used for any of the trip to Jozankei, or is it considered a different kind of bus than a city bus?

As I understand, the One Day Pass is only valid within Sapporo, so I don't think it can be used to go to Jozankei.

No, the one day pass is not valid for buses to Jozankei. But there is a round trip package, that includes free or discounted visits to baths in Jozankei for 1700 yen:
