JDSF service and citizenship 2008/8/9 23:20
I have a question pertaining to joining the JSDF and if its possible if not a Japanese citizen in that it would make applying for Japanese citizenship easier. I know that in the United States, its not required to be an American Citizen to join the US military, and if a non citizen does join, it helps them gain citizenship. Is there anything like that for Japan where doing that sort of civil service would result in the increased possibility of citizenship?

Thanks.
