I'm writing a thesis on the phenomenon of negligent mothers in Japan and I need sources. If you know of any media which portrays negligent or violent mothers (in Japanese or English), I'd love to hear them. Thanks!

That's a vague question. Just by typing ネグレクト on Google, I got 179000 hits.
