Sashimi 2008/8/20 06:51
As far as I knew, sashimi is just raw fish. Well, so I think.
But recently, I saw a Japanese TV show, with a boy saying he liked to eat horse sashimi...
So I was wondering, are sashimi only from fish, or does it exist with other things, like meat??

Thanks to answer, and sorry for the silly question! ^^'

Tatum,

Yes, sashimi normally refers to slices of raw fish or seafood, but it can also be slices of raw meat (e.g. horse, chicken, liver) or even vegetables (e.g. bamboo shoots).
