Good books for kanji learner?

Hi there, I have been teaching myself Japanese for about a year now, as there is no choice to do it in school or college (I'm 16). I've got solid basics of the spoken language down now, and I would like to begin learning to read written as well. Can anyone recommend a good book or computer program that can help me with this? I'm especially interested in being able to read web pages and public signs. I'm slightly dyslexic, so I learn a little bit differently from normal, but I found the Linkword Languages cd-rom to be very easy to use. I'm a fairly good language learner, and speak good French and Spanish as well. Anyway, and recommendations would be highly appreciated. Thanks, Kester

Rosettastone is probably the best. However it is best used while you are with people speaking Japanese. Like in Japan.
