I want to travel from Tokoyo to wakayama either by train or bus. Does this type of service exist between two cities? Which one is more economical? Should I have advanced reservation? If, yes how many days in advance? How much time it takes to travel in both cases? Would someone help me out in this matter as soon as possible?

I assume you refer to Wakayama City (as opposed to other destinations in Wakayama Prefecture). It is possible by air, train or bus. Train is fast and expensive (4 hours, 16,000 yen). The bus is cheap and slow, although overnight (10 hours, regular: 8910 yen, discount around 5000 yen).
