Where can I buy vintage toy cars from 1950 in Kyoto? We will be there in September.

Thanks so much for this - it's exactly what I'm after. I collect them in Australia and when I'm on holidays - mostly in markets. Can't wait to get into the shop. As my computer doesn't load Japanese I wondered if you would be able to tell me the street address in English. Again thanks for your help would never have found this without you regards Dave

In Japanese order:
Kyoto City, Shimogyo Ward, Horikawa Ayanokoji Sagaru, Aya-Horikawa-cho 305
Note that Central Kyoto's addressing scheme is so special. "Horikawa Ayanokoji Sagaru" means "go down (to south) from the crossing of Horikawa Ave. and Ayanokoji St." Ask any locals for help.

Really appreciate your help meringue4 - have a great day. We are staying in a minshuku(?) in Gion so the toy car shop will be one of our first outings. And I've read that there are markets at the Toji temple and outside city hall on the 1st Sunday of each month. What with sightseeing and shopping we're going to have a packed 10 days :-) David
