What sports will be going in December

I'm taking a trip over to Japan in December and was curious to see what sporting events would be going on that I could possibly attend. I know baseball season is over at that point -what are my other options? It doesn't necessarily have to be in Tokyo - as my plans are pretty open and I can change things around if I needed to go to a different city.

Thanks for the answers. Basketball seems like a good option - although sumo would obviously be more entertaining. I looked at the sumo schedule and it seems it only runs through Nov 23rd - any idea of information on some smaller tournaments- if they exist.
