Scenic resort 1-2 hours away from Tokyo?

I wish to visit Tokyo in end Nov for 1 week and intend to stay in outskirt for 2-3 days.
Any recommendation?
I prefer scenic views and less crowded places. Thank you.

One recommendation would be the Izu Peninsula. There are some resort hotels along the coasts. I strongly recommend to avoid weekends. Weekdays can be very calm, but weekends tend to be crowded.
