Online Hotel Booking sites 2008/10/1 06:36
Hello, I'm about to make some hotel reservations and was wondering how trustful these sites are?

www.japanhotels.com
www.japaneseguesthouses.com

Is there something better to use?

I will be booking for Hiroshima and Koyasan.
(For rooms in Tokyo and Kyoto I've been able to contact the hotels directly)

Thanks!

I've always booked direct but here is another one that's good. I was going to book with them but they didn't have a vacancy for the night I needed.

Also the Japaneseguesthouses one is supposed to be very good as well from what I've read on other sites.

I have used www.japaneseguesthouses.com about four or five times and have been completely satisfied each time. I have used www.japanhotel.net twice and it worked perfectly as well.
The overall impression I have of the online booking agencies for Japan is, they seem to be trustworthy.

Thanks for all you help!

(and yes I did mean japanhotel.net!)

I've so far been very discouraged contacting directly....no space so far in about 15 places!!

Just booked thru www.japanhotels.com 2008/10/2 06:40
I called the 800 number. The guy was very knowledgeble/helpful. They have a guarantee if I can find something cheaper at the same hotle they will pay back the difference or refund my money. I can finally rest easy knowing my fiorst night in Japan is covered, I think I can manage to find the other hotel (in Kure, Japan) once I get there and can call a few places. Nothing on-line for that city so far-in English, I mean.
