Is there a direct train.. 2008/10/2 05:06
from Kansai airport to Shin Osaka? When I used the train link people have been referring folks to it gives me 5 choices-all with 1 or 2 changes and nothing direct. Is this really the case? I see nothing about a train going directly to Shin Osaka which would seem to be very desirable to tourism. Thanks

The Haruka Limited Express trains run direct between the two. The trip takes about 1 hr and costs 2980 yen.

I tried Hyperdia and the last choice of 5 was the expres Haruka (it goes to Kyoto)-it was last because it was the most expensive. But if you get a one day JR West Kansai area pass it cost only Yen 2000 and you can use the pass a couple more times that day depending on your arrival time. Or you can use a 7 days or 14 days JR pass (country wide) depending on the rest of your trip.
