With so many wonderful sounding places to visit in Kyoto and only a few days to do so, i am wondering if anyone knows what you actually see on the English speaking tour of the Imperial Palace and whether other places should take prority [i know about booking in advance]

Among the imperial sites, I personally found Katsura Rikyu more fascinating: http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e3914.htmlAll of the imperial sites are a slight inconvenience because you have to make reservations and join tours during a specific time.
