I read somewhere that Matsumoto celebrates the Castle Festival/Oshiro Matsuri "around 3 Nov". Can anyone confirm the date, please?
Also, for the Shichi-Go-San on 15 Nov, are there festivities at most shrines and temples, or only at certain major/popular ones?
Thanks!

I saw somewhere that there will be a "Hakuunza Kabuki" event at Gero (near Takayama) on 2-3 Nov. Does anyone have any idea what this is about?
I'll be travelling in the the Matsumoto/Kiso Valley/ Takayama area in the first week of Nov, so I'd like to know about any special events happening during that time. Thanks!
