My Wife and I are going to PCS to Japan. She is a German National, what kind of Visa will she need to travel to Japan?

If it's "Permanent Change of Station", then does the military not arrange these things for you? If you are on the base, the usual Japanese government visas don't apply, she will get permission to stay under the SOFA agreement.
Assuming it is the military PCS you meant, I'm always amazed that people ask here about this kind of thing- does the military not give you any information at all about such important issues? If so, that's terrible.
