Hakone to mount Fuji 2008/10/25 01:01
I'm planning to use two day to cover hakone, Mount Fuji then Kamakura. Intend to stay a night in hakone then travel to MountFuji on the next morning then to Kamakura but the problem is how to get to the different places. Any advise?

how to get to the different places

Mount Fuji can be seen from Hakone when the visibility is good. if you wish to go closer to the mountain, you have various possible places, such as the Fuji Five Lake region. Transport will depend on where exactly you plan to head to.

In case you mean the Fuji Five Lake region, access is explained here:

In order to go to Kamakura, you will have to backtrack to Gotemba and take trains via Kozu. You can look up connections here by entering "Gotemba" and "Kamakura":

Assuming you start and end your trip in Tokyo and wish to see the Fuji Five Lake area, I alternatively suggest the following route:

Tokyo - (direct bus) - Fuji Five Lakes - (buses as explained above) - Hakone - (trains) - Kamakura - (train) - Tokyo
