Question about Tokyo Travel 2008/10/26 22:33
Recently I've been researching traveling to japan and I would love to start saving to do so for a 1-2 week trip or even longer if I can afford it but.. the problem is I have noone i know that is interested in going to such place.. I was talking to a friend from Belgium who recently went and he went on.. a sort of group travel where plane tickets and hotel costs were split and I was wondering if any such thing exists in the US..
I really wanna spend time in the Tokyo area the most for as cheap as I can of course I could go the BUM way and eat junk food and sleep in parks or something but thats really... meh..

This is the ''program'' he traveled through I don't really fully understand what he did but he tried to explain it the best he could

tours or solo travel 2008/10/27 07:25
There are plenty of companies out there offering tours of Japan, and in the age of the internet, there's no reason you need then to be US-based. Here is the Japan tour page for a Canadian-based company: http://www.gapadventures.com/destination_guide/overview/Japa...

There are other companies like Intrepid Travel, Peregrine, Imaginative Traveller etc that do similar tours. Normally you would arrive in Japan by yourself as people join the tours from various countries, and be picked up at the airport.

Or you could just be really brave and go to Japan and travel around by yourself- lots of people do!
