Tokyo Vs Sendai

My family and I will be visiting Tokyo and Sendai in mid Dec. Will the temperatures vary between Sendai and Tokyo. Starting trip in Sendai, then spend 3 days at Akita Ski resort then to Tokyo. How should I pack for my 2 kids aged 9 and 7. Thanks for all advice !

While in Sendai, consider taking your kids to the Mangattan Museum in Ishinomaki which is less than 90 min. by JR from Sendai. It's on the same rail line that goes to Matsushima. The museum is dedicated to a famous Japanese comic author and is full of cartoon stuff that kids love. Before reaching the museum, there are already life-size comic sculptures all around town. http://www.man-bow.com/manga
