Blood pregnancy test 2008/11/27 21:42
Hi. I went to a doctor for a pregnancy test and they did a urine one( the same one as a home kit).I was expecting a blood test to be done actually, and now I'm unsettled regarding the result. A blood test is said to be far more accurate than a urine one, so I want to get the former done.Do they have it in Japan, and what do you call it? Please help.

"Blood test" is "ketsu-eki-kensa" in Japanese.

But in Japan, they usually just give you a urine test and for more possitive results, they do an internal examination (see your womb). They do blood tests later on, but this is to make sure you're healthy and not to make sure you're pregnant.
