encounter with a japanese girl

Hi..I was approached by a japanese girl,and she told me that i was funny.I am curious to know what this might meant because i was not making any jokes at that time.I know this might not be a unique expression of japanese girls (many girls say this kind of thing all the time) but i am wondering whether she might mistranslate the word omoshiroii which also means interesting.I am not jumping into any conclusion because i doubt that any sound conclusion can already be made.However,I hope you guys/girls can share with me about your opinion.thank you

Just a guess... Perhaps she meant to say interesting. The Japanese word "omoshiroi" can mean both funny and interesting.
