Going past intermediate 2008/12/1 14:02
Hello, I am basically somewhere in the intermediate level of Japanese. I was there for a semester, and I learned quite a good deal of Japanese. I can converse in it, at a simple level, and if I control the conversation, I can stay in Japanese.

My problem is now in the states, my Japanese classes at college only go to 302, and I am bored out of my mind in 301. I plan on going to Japan to work in March. In the meantime, I want ti improve my Jpn.

The main limiting factor for me is that my book youkoso is garbage, and I am done with Genki II as well. So basically I can't find any good books on Jpn. They are all for beginners. Do you know a way for me to learn Jpn here in the US? I use skype, but I can't seem to get my point across about new grammar(Japanese are terribe guessers). So please direct me to some books or sites, thanks.

Hmmm, I doubt those will help me. I am really past that level. I doubt I would learn much even if I were to enroll into a 400 level JPN class. Thanks for trying though.
