Will be going to Nagoya at the end of this month & already reserved a hire car. My question is, do I need Winter tyres? This options seems very expensive as my previous rental at Sendai already included this in the price.

Yes, make sure to order winter tires. There is a high risk that roads around Shirakawago are snow covered.

So even the toll roads are covered in snow?
Another question, does EKiren's cars come with gps?? I saw no mention of it under the options field or anywhere. Are they ok w/foreigners renting their cars? All I saw is they accept international licence. Is it the same w/MMC (Mitsubishi) rentacar?
