buying a laptop lcd replacement?

i just moved to osaka.ii have a compaq presario v2000. it has a 14.1 wxga lcd i believe. i was just gonna buy one on ebay, but decided to ask here first before i pull the trigger. i heard maybe den den town, but i'm not sure if they would sell just the lcd. thanks

I've spent a lot of time down in DenDen and I would suggest taking your laptop with you and checking out some of the smaller recycle shops that are usually on the second or third floors or up the side streets. I had a 15" screen crack on an obscure Twinhead laptop and after showing it around I found a shop above a video store that had a dead similar model and they pulled out my old screen and replaced it with the used screen for 17,500Y Which was a pretty good deal at the time...
