Shipping to United States 2008/12/13 12:18
Hi, everyone,
My fiance will be moving to the U.S. soon. She has four chests and perhaps 45 cubic feet of boxes (30 1,5 cubic foot boxes).
What is the most cost effective way to ship this? A month or two delay is ok.
Does it have to be 'door to door' where someone comes in and carefully wraps each item and then moves it to a ship or are there options?
What are the approximate costs?
Can you suggest options as far as shipping compnaies?
Thanks for any help you can give me on this?

If there are some furniture pieces involved, then it will have to be a moving company... try contacting them for a quote.

To the previous poster:

Tenso is a forwarding service, not a moving company. They accept mailorder deliverys from companies in Japan and forward them to you around the world.
