Yuzu Sake suggestions 2008/12/17 20:42
Hello, everyone.

I was recently sent two large bottles of Yuzu sake by a friend living in Japan, and have no idea what the proper way to drink it is. I could use both general drinking instructions (such as whether you drink it warm or cold, and whether you cut it with water or something like that), and more fanciful cocktail suggestions. She sent me a LOT. ^^;

Thank you for your help.

I don't think there are any proper or standard way of drinking,
for it is not widely common compared with Japanese Sake made from rice.

Just drink it in any style to your liking.
Blending it with water, hot water, soda water is good,
and just dropping some ice cubes or drinking it straight is also good.

One style of my favorite is blending it with hot water and honey to drink on cold day.
I was inspired this style from hot lemonade, for Yuzu is a kind of citrus fruits.

Enjoy it!
