Farmhouse stay in Shirakawago/Ogimachi

Me and my friend plan to stay overnight in one of the farm houses (minshuku) in Ogimachi/Shirakawago in the last week of Feb 2009. How is the demand during that time? Should we make reservation now and if we should, how do we go about doing it? Any advice is appreciated. Thank you in advance.
