I am 23yrs old and I just graduated from a vocational school and a trade. I am currently in the USA. My family is currently in Japan and I was wondering would it be possible for me to obtain a SOFA status also? I had a SOFA at one point.

Check with your family in Japan and have them check with the base liaison.
I am leaning towards "doubtful" since you are now 23 you are no longer a "dependent" of your family member (assuming parent or guardian).
The only other way you could get SOFA status again is of course, sign up to join the military or get some military contracting job on base.
