Kyoto Imperial Palace 2009/1/4 12:16
Hello, I saw that Kyoto Imperial Palace is usually closed on Saturdays. Is it still possible to take a picture of the palace even when it's closed? What do they mean by closed, just the interior of the palace itself or even the grounds are restricted?

The palace buildings are hidden behind tall walls. Therefore, you won't be able to see the palace buildings.

What do they mean by closed

It means that no tours are held. Tours are the only way to enter.

When are you going..the gardens in March were spectacular with Cherry Blossoms: just beautiful: we just walked in to the grounds from the subway station on a Saturday morning: they were full of people all photographing the cherry trees
