Bank Of America Debit Card Question 2009/1/5 18:00

I have a Bank of America debit card and am wondering if I can use it without problem once in Japan. Also, based on other people's experiences, what's the max withdrawl allowance per day?

Many thanks.

From ATMs it varies depending on your account. But typically it might range from 500-900 us (again depends on your individual limits), you can change the limits by calling bank of america and telling them you are on vacation and to raise the limit. Don't forget, Bank of America charges $5 off network ATM fees and currency exchange fee if you use an ATM.

As long as you are using your debit card in the "credit" function, eg the "Visa" part of it, then it is accepted anywhere Visa cards are accepted.
