Okinawa trip

Hi!
I'm going to Okinawa this spring for 12 days and I'm not sure about the itinerary to follow. I thought spending 6 days in Okinawa-honto (Naha, etc), 2 in Ishigaki, 2 in Iriomote and 1 in Taketomi. Do you think the number of days in each island is ok? Or I miss some must watch island?
Oh, and if you could recommend me some youth hostels or cheap hotels in these islands it'd great! :D

I have not been to Okinawa but on http://StrayCompass.com/Okinawa.html there are several videos of one mans journey through most of the islands. He spent a month there hiking around. In his videos he talks about the history of each area he visits and other interesting fact... so check it out. He also has his videos on youtube

While in Naha, be sure to take the ferry to the Kerama's (Tokashiki or Zamami). Beautiful little islands, clear water, gorgeous beaches. Snorkeling and diving are fantastic there.

Thanks a lot for your answers! I never considered going to the Kerama's, but I think I will change my mind, they seem great! And those straycompass videos are really useful.
If somebody else could recommend me something else I'd be so grateful (I don't want to miss anything ^^).
