about the 3 day pass ticket that cost around 5000.
Would it be efficient if I'll use it that way: day 1 Osaka to Koya san day 2 Koya san to Kyoto day 3 Kyoto - Nara - Kyoto
I understood it does not include the JR transport.. Will it take "much" more time?

The Surutto Kansai Ticket is likely to come slightly cheaper than regular tickets, but not much. Note, by the way, that the ticket does not necessarily need to be used on consecutive days. I understood it does not include the JR transport.. Will it take "much" more time? No. For access to Koyasan, non-JR is fastest. For Osaka-Kyoto, it depends on where in Kyoto you will be heading. If you stay around JR Kyoto Station, JR is quite a lot faster, but if you stay around central Kyoto (Shijo-Kawaramachi, Gion or near Kamo River), Surutto Kansai can be faster, since you use Hankyu or Keihan Railways to get to Kyoto. It is explained in more details here: http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2363.html?aFROM=2157_2158As for Kyoto-Nara, JR and Kintetsu are about equally fast, but JR Nara Station is located less centrally than the Kintetsu Station: http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e4107.html

yeah, but if you are headed for central kyoto and you take the keihan line, than the kansai surutto would not be that effective. One ride (Umeda-kyoto) costs 390yen...
