If you have a cold in Japan and are looking to get some cold and flu tablets, how do you get them? Is it possible to buy them in a pharmacy or is it necessary to visit a medical center?

You buy them in a pharmacy. If you need antibiotics (i.e. it isn't just a cold), you need a prescription from a doctor.
