Bringing prescription meds into Japan?

Hi,

Two friends and I are travelling to Japan on Sunday - unfortunately one of my friends has an infection in a superficial vein in his leg, meaning he needs to take antibiotics and aspirin (to thin the blood), the same friend also has a Ritalin prescription.

Will he be okay to bring his prescription medication with him if he has a certificate from his doctor and prescription notes, etc?

that shouldn't be a problem at all as i brought several prescriptions with me an my trip last march. make sure your friend brings enough in case [s]he gets stuck in transit or something. the note from the doctor with the prescriptions should do the trick. have a super trip!
