Suica in shops and restaurants? 2009/2/3 06:44
Hi everyone.

A few weeks away from my first trip to Japan.

I'll be getting a Suica card at Narita and I'm reading elsewhere that it can be used in shops and restaurants.

Can the card be used to pay at places like Mos Burger, Yoshinoya or 7eleven?

Thanks.

I don't think so unless they are within the compound of JR stations...

up_north,

7-Eleven uses its own Nanaco system, so you can't use Suica. Other convenience stores such as Family Mart and Ministop generally accept it, as do New Days convenience stores at stations.
