Subway is great! 2009/2/13 11:01
If you're spending the day running around Tokyo, I suggest you purchase a day pass for the Metro (subway). Then when you wander for miles, you can hop on the Metro and not think twice about it.

Contact Sunrise Tours for a guided tour. The morning tour of the Golden Pavilion is nice.

Kinkakuji - Temple of the Golden Pavilion.
Ryoanji Temple - most famous rock garden in Japan.
Gion - nice for an evening stroll.
Gion Corner - evening performance of cultural demonstrations.
Kyoto Imperial Palace
Nijo Castle

Consider purchasing the book: Frommer's Japan. Contains tons of great info.
