Can SGP Class 3 drive a Hiace in JP? 2009/2/15 16:08
Dear All, I am plannng a family trip with my brother, sister and nieces. In Total of 7 pax. We Plan to drive in Hokkaido but most Passenger Van are too small to be comfortable, as we need some luggauge space in the Car. Our only Alternative is the Totyota HiAce (Minivan) which we are sure to be sufficient. However in ToCoo Website stated that we need a '' Class D international Driving Licence''. Therefore we want to verified whether a Singapore Class 3 Driving Licence is ok for the rental. (This licence allows us to drive Mecerdes ''Vito'' in Singapore). We want to be very sure. Kindly help to Check.

Thanks Tazziesong...

In Japan, any vehicle's max passenger is less than 12 then you may drive with International Driving Licence mark Class D.

Here is the website for Toyota Rent a Car,you might want to double check with them to make sure.

Yup, Just having the Singapore Driver's license is not enough, you need to go to AAS to get your international license. Costs $20
Bring your license and NRIC
