Hello I was wondering if there are any upcoming events related to Japanese culture & language, anime/manga that will take place here in New York City? I would like to know if there are any Japanese restaurants, museums, stores, or any landmarks dedicated to the Japanese people here in New York City in which people can visit?

Book off: this is not too far from Grand Central Station. This place sells used Japanese magazines, manga, CDs, DVDs, and other stuff. http://www.bookoff.co.jp/en/info/kaigai02.htmlfor times and location. Here is the Japan society's webpage. There is an expo about anime/manga and info there: http://www.japansociety.org/ Here is a complete list of Japanese restaurants in NYC. http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=Jap...For Mitsuwa, the Japanese supermarket, head off to Port Authority and ask someone for the mitsuwa bus. I've taken it twice but I can never remember the location. Actually, ask two people. http://www.nyjpn.com/ also appears to be a useful website, it's a directory that lists places that sell Japanese stuff. There is (or at least was when I was there) a Kinokuniya near Rockefeller plaza.
