しゅごキャラ
its a name of an anime called Shugo Chara [Shugo Kyara], but when i translate it, it is shi yu [something] ki ya ra

i understand the ki ya ra part, but as for the first part i do not understand

and i also note that some words are not from the katakana or hiragana table, so how many characters are there?

thank you very much!!

しゅごキャラ has four syllables, The first two are in hiragana, and the latter two are in katakana because "kyara" comes from the English word "character," thus considered imported word.

しゅ "shu" sound, written by large "shi" し with small "yu" ゅ
ご "go" sound, written by the hiragana for the sound "ko" こ with the two dots on the right shoulder to represent voiced sound (g) as against unvoiced sound (k)

キャ "kya" sound, written by large "ki" キ with small "ya" ャ
ラ "ra" sound
