Please advise how to go from Kobe Meriken park or the chinatown area to Kobe Sanda? And from Kobe Sanda back to Hilton Osaka in Umeda. Thanks.

Sorry. I can't understand your question because Sanda and Kobe are different city though both are in Hyogo prefecture.
However, Meriken Park and the Chinatown called Nankin-machi are in Kobe. You can back to Osaka from Kobe, by JR West or Hanshin electric railway. by JR: It takes 30 minutes and costs 390 yen, from Motomachi to Osaka. by Hanshin: It takes 37 minutes and costs 310 yen, from Motomachi to Umeda.
(If you back to Osaka from Sanda, take train of Fukuchiyama line (aka Takarazuka line) of JR West. It takes 38 minutes and costs 740 yen, by rapid train.)

A famous university named one of their campus as Kobe Sanda Campus. It is in Sanda city and the campus is located far from Kobe. The nearest station is Shin-sanda.

Have you seen this webpage? See the map on the bottom of page, please. http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e3552.htmlThe nearest station is Motomachi station of JR and Hanshin. And it is convenient, I suppose. You can walk within 5 minutes from China town to JR Motomachi station. And, Motomachi station of Hanshin line is located by China town. And you can walk within 10 minutes from JR Osaka station or Hanshin Umeda station to the Hilton. And please refer to my first answer.
